Luckily, Klamath Falls has a plethora of fun options for indoor activities! Indoor options There are a wide variety of gym choices in the Klamath Falls area. Whether you prefer CrossFit- style classes or all-access gym memberships, you can find your match! If high-energy fun fits your style, consider classes like Zumba or high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Or if that’s not for you, consider a Pilates or yoga class to ground yourself. If you’d rather play than work out, indoor sports around town include pickleball, racquetball, soccer, tennis or volleyball. Other activities include the climbing wall at The Ledge and broomball and curling at Bill Collier Ice Arena at the Running Y. Many activities and classes for all skill levels and ages are also available at the Klamath Basin Senior Center. Want to get your steps in? While Klamath does not have a shopping mall per se, you can still walk the larger stores such as Walmart, Fred Meyer, or Sherm’s Thunderbird. Mike’s Fieldhouse at Steen Sports Park also has a large indoor track where you can walk if there are activities going on inside. Change your routine If something that requires intentional energy is not your speed on a gloomy day, consider spending time in one of the area museums. You win by getting in some steps—and learning a little more about the history of our community. The Senior Center also puts on fun classes such as bingo or trade courses. For the kids, consider bowling, swimming or ice skating. If you just want to break out of the seasonal doldrums, consider supporting our local sports teams at any of the high schools or at Oregon Tech. You could even meet up with a friend and go to any of our local stores that host crafting classes.
